We’re a small, well-regarded rural dispensing practice in the village of Cradley (not Cradley Heath), caring for around 4,000 patients and dispensing to 94% of them. We’re proud to be rated highly by our patients and are looking for a salaried GP to join our supportive, close-knit team.

Job Summary
- 4-6 sessions a week ( negotiable, alongside second Salaried GP already in post)
- Good level of written and oral English
- Ability and to willing ness to work closely with the other salaried GP offering holiday cover for each other and also to be flexible to cover other sessions due to unexpected absence when necessary.
- Contribute effectively to the smooth running of the practice
- Enthusiasm and drive to be part of a thriving GP dispensing practice
Main Duties of the Job
- The post holder will ensure that they are available to undertake a variety of duties, including in person surgery consultations, telephone and online consults and queries, carrying out home visits as and when required, checking and signing scripts, dealing with queries, paperwork, correspondence, including Docman and EMIS tasks in a timely manner and in line with the provision of services required in a GMS contract.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance and in a timely manner. Also ensuring the security of data and its visibility to patients is considered at all times.
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to patients presenting with problems, whether self-referred or by one of the health care colleagues within the organisation and the wider PCN network as required and prescribing medications when appropriate and within the guidelines for the current formulary.

What we are looking for from you
- We are seeking a compassionate and skilled General Practitioner to join our friendly team with a minimum of one year experience working independently in UK general practice.
- Recognised and appropriate qualification(s) for the role.(Medical degree with valid registration as a General Practitioner)
- Ability to work in the UK.
- Good level of written and oral English
- Car driver with daily use of a vehicle( rurality of post and need to be able to home visit)

- Flexibility and adaptability to the changing face of primary care.
- Eagerness to extend knowledge and undertake further learning to support the single handed partner , including already having an interest or a specialism in respiratory medicine, or the willingness to train in this area.
- Ability and to willing ness to work closely with the other salaried GP offering holiday cover for each other and also to be flexible to cover other sessions due to unexpected absence when necessary.

- Ability to assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems and treat those with long term conditions and develop and share healthcare plans to support patients and in line with the practice’s current disease management protocols.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice , policy and guidance and in a timely manner. Also ensuring the security of data and its visibility to patients is considered at all times.
- Screen patients proactively for disease risk factors and early signs of illness and assist with healthcare programmes to deliver better outcomes, including participating audits as required by the practice.
- Contribute effectively to the smooth running of the practice, including clinical governance, training, financial management and HR matters and working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload, including accepting responsibility for a specific area or areas relating to the practice contracts(QOF, NNDP etc.)
- In general, the successful candidate will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working in Primary care.
- All tasks are to executed in a timely and consistent manner to support the wider surgery and the patients.

Person Specification
Essential
- At least 1 year’s independent GP experience in UK general practice
- Full GMC registration with the right to work in the UK
- ICB performers list
- Member of a medical defence union for non NHS GP workload ( ie work not covered by NHS CNSGP)
- Car driver (essential for rural home visits and reaching the surgery as no public transport available )
- Team-focused, flexible and patient-centred
- Great sense of humour and exemplary team work ethic
